You’re dreaming of finally achieving your goals. No more distractions, just you and your go-to productivity apps. But you know that eventually you’re going to mess up, procrastinate, and be pulled back into the realm of distraction whether by a text or email ping. Serene is the app you need to pull this off, remove distractions and concentrate on what’s important.
It’s an app for Mac that helps people achieve their goals by minimizing distractions. A not so new, but very underused concept of enabling people to achieve small and larger goals by means of a task tracker.

The Serene Daily Planner is a productivity app that aims to help you be more productive through creating a habit of scheduling time for daily tasks. It does so by providing useful features to help you plan your day and visualize the amount of time you spend on each task. It integrates with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Outlook (the only features it boasts) along with a few other features we’ll cover in this review.
Block digital distractions – When you meditate with Serene, your phone goes into Do Not Disturb mode and all notifications are silenced. You can also set reminders to meditate during the day.
Learn how to meditate – With a library of more than 40 guided meditations, Serene has something for everyone. Our library includes mindfulness exercises, gratitude exercises, sleep stories, nature sounds and more.
Connect with others – Connect with other people who are trying to make meditation a part of their daily routine or who are already practicing regular meditation.
Stay motivated – Earn points by completing our challenges and unlock new badges!
The benefits of this app are that it helps stop procrastination and multitasking. It also helps with focus and creativity. One other benefit is that it helps reduce stress because it takes breaks automatically in order to prevent burnout.
We have designed this app with the busy professional in mind. The interface is simple and clean and easy to navigate. The app is available on both iOS and Android devices so it doesn’t matter if you prefer tablets or phones; we’ve got you covered!
If you are looking for an app that will help you stay focused longer, then Serene is right for you!
It works like this:
when you’re working on a task, you can block all distractions for up to 3 hours. You can add distracting websites (like Facebook or Twitter) to your “Serene” list, or add any computer program that could potentially distract you from your work (such as a video game). After you begin a “Serene session,” these items will be inaccessible on your computer for the duration of the session. If you try to access them, you will be reminded of what you should be working on instead—and if you need to get out of the session early for whatever reason, there’s a password option so that only you can unblock the sites.
Sessions can be customized based on what distracts you most. For instance, during one session, I blocked my web browsers but not my email program; then during another session, I blocked my email and one social media website.
Entrepreneurs use Serene to work on their business.
If you’re a business owner, you’re probably used to your life being a little hectic. Customers, suppliers, employees—there are so many possibilities for things to go wrong that it’s no surprise most entrepreneurs get stressed out sometimes. But when you run your own business, that stress can be even more intense than what other people experience.
The good news is, there are ways to manage stress and take control of your thoughts and emotions—so you can get back to doing what you love (and enjoying it). If you’re looking for an easy way to get started, check out the Serene app for Android and iPhone devices.
Serene is for the entrepreneur who wants to keep their business organized in one place. This is done by keeping all of the entrepreneur’s information in one place: the Dashboard.
The Dashboard consists of four sections: Projects, Goals, Reading List, and To-Do List.
Projects are larger chunks of work that an entrepreneur would like to complete within a certain time frame. This could be an app to build, or a marketing strategy to implement. The Goals section is where short term goals are kept. These are things you want to accomplish within a few days or weeks.
Reading List is where helpful articles and videos related to your area of business can be stored. These can be linked directly from the web onto the Dashboard so that they are easily accessible whenever you’d like to view them again.
To-Dos are important tasks that must be completed within a certain time frame. They can be associated with Projects or Goals so that you don’t lose sight of your deadlines!
Marketers use Serene to get results.
Serene allows you to engage your audience and deliver personalized content at scale.
Serene makes it easy for businesses of all sizes to:
- Automate your marketing campaigns
- Personalize your messaging based on customer behavior and preferences
- Drive consistent engagement with customers through automated messages and email sequences
Developers use Serene for deep work.
Serene is the ideal tool for developers who need to stay focused and get things done. It’s no secret that programming requires intense concentration, but this can be especially difficult when you’re juggling a million different tasks. By helping you to quiet the distractions around you and keep track of your progress, Serene helps you stay in flow.
Freelancers use Serene to smash their to-do list.
If you’ve ever worked remotely or needed to manage a variety of projects at once, then you know how chaotic it can get. But with Serene, your calendar is always up-to-date, your inbox is always clear, and your time is always spent on the most important things.
Product designers use Serene to make time for creativity.
Nowadays, it’s hard to find time to think. Between meetings and emails, notifications and social media, there are constant interruptions that prevent you from getting into a focused state of mind. This can be especially frustrating when you’re trying to work on something creative—a new project, a prototype, a product design. With all the pressures of everyday life shouting at you and demanding your attention, it might seem like there’s no way you’ll ever be able to get anything done.
Enter Serene, the app that helps you focus on creating. It’s designed for people who want nothing more than to sit down with their work and let the ideas flow—and yet find it nearly impossible to do so with the distractions and responsibilities of modern life bearing down upon them. Serene is built on the idea that if we all had just a little bit more peace and quiet in our lives, we could achieve great things that would make us more fulfilled, inspired people. For those who struggle with blocking out external influences in order to concentrate, Serene is an invaluable tool for finding tranquility and achieving concentration.
Serene is designed to help you stay on track with your goals and reduce distractions during work. It is a great tool to help you define your goals, accomplish them and reflect on their accomplishment.
The app provides exactly the three things that help people work long periods of time without getting distracted: focus enhancers (music, white noise etc.), timers that gently kick you out of your session at the end of a 30-60 minute block and a blocking function that filters distracting websites and apps during your session.
What makes Serene stand out is its combination of ease-of-use and the fact that it is built around those three core features. One of the key criticisms against most “productivity” apps is they throw too many features at their user. They needlessly try to be more than they are.
